This is a very popular school but we often have vacancies in various year groups, particularly in September at Year Three when we take in additional children to join our Juniors. If you would like your child to come here at any time, don't hesitate to write, pick up the 'phone or call in. We welcome children from inside and outside our catchment area and if we can take you we most probably will! Our feeder school is Purley Church of England Infant School (Tel: 0118 9842384). Children who attend that school are almost guaranteed admission to Long Lane at age 7+ (KS2 / Year3).
We will have: 8 spaces in Year 3, 0 spaces in Year 4, 5 spaces in Year 5 and 1 space in Year 6 this September (2008). |
The Governors have made the following statements as their aims for the curriculum:
We will provide a safe, well-organised environment for children to learn in. Everyone will act with courtesy and consideration to others at all times.
We will ensure that best practices are used to teach children and also to help them understand their responsibilities to other people and to the environment. We will do all we can to ensure that members of the school community are happy in their work and using their skills to their full potential.
